San Rafael Lagoon & Austral Road (4 days & 3 nights)

Day 1 Santiago-Balmaceda - Puerto Chacabuco.
Reception at Balmaceda airport, beginning the journey that will take you to Hotel Loberías del Sur located in Puerto Chacabuco. This ride will cover part of the Austral road, which connects the mainland provinces of Llanquihue and Palena in the Aysen region, passing through the beautiful city of Coyhaique. During this tour, you will witness a sample of the impressive landscape that belongs to these latitudes, as we will cross the Andes through the Chilean Patagonia. Arrival at Hotel Loberías del Sur, situated on the beautiful bay of Puerto Chacabuco and where you will enjoy a welcome dinner. Lodging will be at this hotel during the two nights spent in the region.

Day 2 San Rafael Lagoon.
At 08:00 hrs. you will become part of an unforgettable journey aboard the catamaran Chaitén, with capacity for 100 pax., which will take you through islands, channels and fjords, offering visitors an unimaginable spectacle, and finally arriving to the beautiful San Rafael Lagoon at approx 14:00. The stillness of the 170 km2 that form this lagoon, with its floating icebergs and the surrounding glacier with its constant and thunderous detachments of thousand year-old ices, are the main attraction of the tour. Aboard a zodiac boat, you will get in closer contact with San Rafael Glacier and the numerous icebergs that are floating around. After the tour you may enjoy an exquisite whiskey cooled with ancient pieces of ice that date back to 20,000 years. After a 2-3 hour stay, we will begin the return to Puerto Chacabuco, arriving at approximately 21:00 hrs. From there, you will be transferred to the hotel to enjoy a refreshing break after having enjoyed a day full of magic and unforgettable emotions.

Day 3 Visit to Aiken del Sur Park .
Once you have enjoyed a breakfast buffet in the hotel dining room, a bus will take you for a 15-minute ride through a landscape of unique beauty in the Patagonia, reaching the final destination "Aiken del Sur" Park. You will begin an excursion combining adventure, contact with Patagonian virgin nature, emotion and exquisite local food (Patagonian barbecue).

The "Aiken del Sur” Park offers impressive sceneries like the shore of Lake Riesco, with an area of 14 km2 of calm and clear blue waters, a 22-meter high waterfall, native forests with perennial and humid species such as ferns, some of them described for the first time in Chile, mosses and lichens; widespread prairies where aged myrtles combine with and tepa trees, and many other native species.

At dusk, you will participate in an enjoyable dinner at the hotel, a suitable opportunity to share speeches and memories from this adventure. All this accompanied by the most exquisite seafood and Chilean wines.

Día 4 Return to Santiago.
After a well-deserved rest in the comfortable rooms of Hotel Loberías del Sur, and once you have enjoyed breakfast, a bus will take you to Balmaceda airport for your return flight.
